The idea of a CD's worth of my own compositions had been on my mind for a long time before I mentioned it to Alan Gresty. After an initial get-together he took to the project with great enthusiasm and this was followed by smiling nods of approval from the rest of the band. CDs of tunes written by a single, little known, composer are not the stuff upon which fortunes are made. It therefore cames as a welcome vote of confidence when Paul Adames of Lake Records decided to go along with the idea. Although my name is attached to all of the tunes I must pay tribute to the co-writers of some of them. Alan Gresty, Floyd Levin and Pam Sadovy have all left their individual marks on tunes that may well have withered away without their input.

4/5/2010 8:21:14 AM: Trad Jazz (by Ron Knight) Having listened to this fabulous recording and met Alan Gresty on a visit to perth WA, he also did co-presenter on my radio programme I can honetsly say the music is some of the best I've heard in a long time, more so as the tunes are all written by Brian White and Alan.
